SHARING love

We believe the Holy Spirit works within personal experience and in the life of the Christian community to make God’s redemptive love a tangible reality in our lives and in the world.

Love INC Food Pantry GIVE Calendar

CALVARY'S FOOD PANTRY

Calvary’s Food Pantry shares God’s love with our neighbors through the gift of food.

The Pantry is open for curbside service each Thursday from 2:00-5:00pm. When guests arrive, they are invited to remain in their vehicles, where a volunteer will greet them and register them for our services. As a partner agency of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, the Calvary Food Pantry is an Equal Opportunity Provider and serves everyone.

The Food Pantry serves hundreds of households each week, and we depend on volunteer support to sustain the ministry. There are a wide variety of ways for you to help:

·     PRAY for the Food Pantry and the neighbors we serve

·     Help pack boxes of food each Sunday from 2:30-4:30pm

·     Serve during Food Pantry distribution each Thursday from 2:00-5:00pm

·     Help unload the Food Bank truck each Friday at 9:00am

·     Donate non-perishable food items to the Food Pantry

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Whatever you are facing in life, our pastors are here to talk, pray, or just be present with you.

They visit regularly in local hospitals and nursing homes, and they are available to meet in the church office, at your home, or in other settings to provide support and encouragement for your faith journey. Please feel free to connect with Pastor David any time.

PRAYER

"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6).

At Calvary, we believe in the promise that God is always with us and has a plan for our lives that is bright and beautiful. Prayer forms the heart of our worship services each week. Prayer is at the center of our small group studies and planning meetings. Prayer edifies our service opportunities and fellowship events. Prayer covers everything we do as a community of faith. It's the tie that binds us to one another and, most importantly, to our Lord Jesus Christ.

You can request prayer or add a name to our church's prayer chain by completing our Prayer Request form. You may also contact Pastor David directly for prayer, encouragement, and support.

PRAYER SHAWLS

Through our prayer shawl ministry, members of our church family create beautiful blankets to give away as a reminder of God's warmth and our church's love. We pray for the people who will receive the blankets, trusting that God knows their needs and will bring them peace and comfort. If you know someone who would be blessed by a prayer blanket, pick one up from the church or contact us.

BAPTISMS at Calvary

Baptism is our response to God’s grace. It signifies both God’s forgiveness of our sin and our entry into the faith community. In The United Methodist Church, baptism typically occurs as part of Sunday morning worship, and it is available to people of all ages, children and adults alike. Contact us if you would like to learn more or schedule a baptism.

WEDDINGS at Calvary

Funerals &

Sharing God's love with families following the death of a loved one is among the highest callings of our church. We believe that the light of Christ shines through the life of every person, and our hope is to celebrate and share that story in each funeral service. Contact us to learn more.
