Pastor David arrived at Calvary in the summer of 2018. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Duke Divinity School, and he served as a youth minister, camp counselor, and hospital chaplain before becoming a pastor a decade ago. You're likely to find him reading Dr. Seuss, rehearsing lines for a play, training for a marathon, cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers, or humming along with a Bruce Springsteen song, but most importantly he is the husband of April and father of Micah and Anna, a follower of Jesus, and an explorer searching for new ways to share God's love with the world.
Pastor David is passionate welcoming people to the church of Jesus Christ, helping them discover God's call for their lives, and walking with them on this journey of faith. If you would like to connect with him or learn more about our church family, drop him a line or sign up for the Calvary Mid-Week Message.
PASTOR: Jenelle Watson
Loving God, loving people: That’s what Pastor Jenelle is passionate about. As Calvary’s Minister of Congregational Care, she has the great joy of spending her life doing both. When she’s not sharing the Peace of Christ in homes and hospitals, you’ll find her building community at the Calvary Food Pantry, or helping others discover their gifts and live into their calling in a variety of missional settings.
Jenelle is happily married to her best friend, Roger. Together they are blessed to be the parents of Will, a music major at James Madison University, and Miriam and Grace, who are in their final years of high school at Wilson Memorial.
